As part of the Genesis Project, GeoTenerife is leading the creation of a citizen science hub which will host a variety of resources to engage the public in understanding and feeling ownership over the nature-based solutions being created across Macaroniesa to mitigate the impact of climate change on freshwater supply.
Recently, the concept and research for the citizen science hub was presented by Ajay Wynne Jones on May 14th at EUSEA 2025. EUSEA is a conference for science communication and public engagement researchers, practitioners, and professionals.
Ajay expanded on how each resource for the Genesis Citizen Science Hub, including an interactive map utilising infographics, a short documentary, a game, and a participatory project is being created/designed using the best practices and the latest understanding in academic literature.
