On 23 January 2025, PEVOLCA convened to discuss geological activity, specifically changes in seismic (earthquakes), geodetic (ground movement), and geochemical (volcanic gas) monitoring signals. The committee agreed that these changes do not appear to be precursors to an eruptive process occurring in the short term. Reports regarding any volcanic unrest in Tenerife will be added to the Tenerife Volcanic Unrest Urgent Event page. We also recommend visiting our Volcanic Readiness page for resources on how to prepare for an eruption.
