Reports on the number of attendees at the 18M demonstrations has been conflicting. Earlier reports stated that 20,000 people were in attendance in Santa Cruz de Tenerife alone but according to the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands, 23,000 people joined throughout the archipelago. Tenerife had the highest participation rate with the National police reducing their estimates from 15,000 to 9,000 attendees. Organisations said that there were 40,000 people in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria but others report only 5,000. On the other islands, Lanzarote had 2,000, La Palma and Fuerteventura had 500 each, La Gomera had 100, and El Hierro had 90. These reports are vastly different from previous sources.

Los informes sobre el número de asistentes a las manifestaciones del 18M han sido contradictorios. Los primeros informes indicaban que solo en Santa Cruz de Tenerife había 20 000 personas, pero según la Delegación del Gobierno en Canarias, 23 000 personas se sumaron a las protestas en todo el archipiélago. Tenerife registró la mayor participación, y la Policía Nacional redujo sus estimaciones de 15 000 a 9000 asistentes. Las organizaciones afirmaron que había 40 000 personas en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, pero otras informan de que solo había 5000.
