On 11 April and early on the 13th, #IGNSpain detected further seismic-volcanic activity beneath the island of #Tenerife. However, the activity on the 11th was located near Izaña and the activity on the 13th was located in Las Cañadas del Teide
On April 11th, a series of low-magnitude earthquakes occurred in the Izaña area of Tenerife, with magnitudes between 1.0 and 1.9 mbLg located at depths of between 3 and 10 km. These seismic events are similar to those in this recorded in this area between May and November 2025.
On April 13th, between 00:10 and 00:30 two low-frequency pulses (LP events) and several low-magnitude hybrid seismic events occurred in the Las Cañadas del Teide at depths of 12–13 km. However, this activity does not follow a repetitive pattern unlike the activity observed in this area since February. None of these seismic events were felt by the island’s population.
