GeoTenerife works with the leading institutions on the island to offer innovative field training camps in a range of disciplines. The camps combine educational elements from top local experts and hands-on work experience in some truly privileged environments, including the Teide National Park and the unique Laurel forest. All camps are run in English.

GeoTenerife Marine Science Training Camp in association with the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC).
This experience includes Matlab training, residential onboard research with the team responsible for monitoring underwater volcanoes in the Canary Islands, audiovisual SciComm training, onshore research for VolcanoStories and attending the III International VulcanaSymposium.

Open to ALL – Undergraduate students of Geology to those who follow eruptions in the news that wish to understand the phenomena and how they are monitored.
Come and spend time with us in Tenerife and La Palma for training and fieldwork!
For the first 10 days, you will join the VolcanoCamp with an introduction to Canary Islands volcanology, improve your science communication skills, and refresh your fieldwork skills. For the remainder of this programme, you will be working with the Spanish Geographic Institute (IGN) for master’s student research projects on volcanic risk, for scientific publication. Open to those participating in a Master’s degree or PhD programme in a relevant discipline of volcanology.
One month-long internship which includes a short course in science communication training with Dr Andy Ridgeway and Dr Hannah Little and joining active research projects in the Canary Islands. Open to early career researchers and students interested in volcanology, geology, volcanic risk, and sustainable tourism.
