Activist group ATAN have called for protests in Teide National Park on the 7th of June to educate tourists of the issues the surrounding nature is facing. Rules have been set to protect the land during this demonstration including keeping to paths and not anchoring anything to walls or the floor.

A protest called for the 7th of June demanding the protection of the National Park against tourists has upset the Tenerife Council. They are calling for the Canarian Government to ban this demonstration. Rosa Davila stated “Mount Teide is not a demonstration ground or a stage for ideological battles”.

Una protesta convocada para el 7 de junio en la que se exige la protección del Parque Nacional contra los turistas ha molestado al Ayuntamiento de Tenerife. Se pide al Gobierno canario que prohíba esta manifestación. Rosa Dávila ha declarado que «el Teide no es un lugar de manifestación ni un escenario para batallas ideológicas».
