Canary Islands reconsider the introduction of a tourist ecotax
The Parliament of the Canary Islands is once again debating the possible implementation of a tourist ecotax, five months after it was previously rejected. The new proposal, driven by the PSOE, aims to promote sustainable tourism. The tax would range between €1 and €3.5 per night, depending on the type of accommodation, with exemptions for Canary Islands residents.

El Parlamento de Canarias vuelve a debatir la posible implantación de una ecotasa turística cinco meses después de haber sido rechazada. La nueva propuesta, impulsada por el PSOE, busca promover un turismo sostenible. La tasa oscilaría entre 1 y 3,5 euros por noche, dependiendo del tipo de alojamiento, con exenciones para residentes canarios.
