Pre-eruptive seismic activity prompts the yellow traffic light and evacuations

Intense surface seismicity, between 0 and 6 km, and numerous earthquakes felt by the population were recorded today. Today, 327 earthquakes have been detected, of which 86 have been located. The maximum magnitude earthquake recorded in the previous 24 hours was 3.8 mbLg occurring at 10:16 (UTC), with a depth of 2 km, which was widely felt on the island (IGN, 2021).
