Continued observation of geological activity as La Palma government organises the return or relocation of the population and reduction of the exclusion zone around the eruptive centre

The Steering Committee analysed the results of a study carried out by IGMA-CSIC which aims to establish the safety distances from the edges of the flows and thus determine a new exclusion zone. This will allow more residents to return home (Gobierno de Canarias, 2022).
