Canary Islands Coalition in Tenerife now wants to propose the tourist tax throughout the region at a convention at the end of the year

Coalición Canaria in Tenerife, during its VI Insular Congress, supports implementing a tourist tax adjustable based on tourism evolution, exempting residents and sensitive groups. The proposal aims to fund sustainability and climate adaptation projects and will be presented at a regional convention later this year.
