Shallow magnitude 3 earthquake felt with intensity III

Pre-eruptive seismic activity prompts the yellow traffic light and evacuations

In the last 12 hours, there has been a slight increase in the magnitude of earthquakes, a magnitude 3 mbLg earthquake and a 2 mbLg located at 03:26 (UTC) today, at a depth of 0.1 km, which has been felt by the population with intensity III (EMS98). Since the last statement, a further 861 earthquakes have been recorded (IGN, 2021).
