Phreatomagic activity is reduced and strombolian activity continues.

Since the last statement, 152 earthquakes have been located in the area. 18 of these earthquakes have been felt by the population. The largest earthquake was the one that occurred at 20:24 (UTC) yesterday, with a magnitude of 4.6 mbLg at a depth of 36 km. Eight earthquakes have been located at depths around 30 km, and the rest of the hypocenters of the period are located at a shallower depth, around 12 km. The amplitude of the volcanic tremor signal remains at medium-high levels, with few intensification pulses. The island’s network of permanent GNSS stations does not show a clear trend in the deformation of the stations closest to the eruptivecentres, while in the stations further away a slight deflation is maintained, possibly related to deep seismicity. Using a calibrated image, the ash cloud of maximum height of 3,700 m with an easterly direction is estimated at 07:45 UTC by IGN (IGN, 2021). The lava flow that advanced west / south west after travelling along the southern margin of the lava flow field is now approximately 150 m from the LP-211 but travels only 1 meter per hour. Audible explosions and significant ash emissions continued throughout 2 November, with ashfall affecting the entire W and NW parts of the island (GVP, 2021).

This video taken on the 2nd of November shows Strombolian emission of lava, gases, and pyroclasts from the upper eruptive centers of the volcano. There appears to be two distinct ash plumes which converge. Sourced from IGME (2021).
